Development of a Smart Conveyor Roller
Project executor: UAB BAKETAS · Project partner: Kaunas University of Technology
The project aims to develop a smart conveyor roller prototype. Integrated electronics will automatically monitor the roller’s parameters, help predict the condition of its structural components, and identify when preventive replacement is needed.
The solution will help diagnose roller faults earlier and plan preventive maintenance, reducing monitoring costs and potential losses caused by failures. The project supports the development of a high-value product, researcher involvement in the company’s R&D, intellectual property creation, and early pilot production. The goal is an economical, environmentally considerate product developed using innovative technologies.
